Eruune was very jealous when he saw "The Sunstealer", and asked me why his bookcover-portrait, seen here, didn't look that good. I replied "because I think that you're not a very interesting character, and because your picture was drawn about a year ago." To that, he got quite angry at me. Later while he was sleeping, I snuck up and took a picture of him. Awww, isn't it cute. Barf.
Actually, the point of this illustration was that I wanted to draw someone sleeping against a tree. The tree was originally strangling him, but somewhere along the line, that idea was erased. The other point was to draw reflections. Gaze into his pendant, belt buckle, and spat-buttons. I'm very proud of those reflections. I think they add another dimension to the picture. If only I'd drawn his eyes open!
