Which brings me to wonder at the shape of the graph described by the ratio of complexity-of-picture to amount-of-guilt-to-be-shed: at what amount does the guilt surpass the ability to act or care (as in resulting in depression)? Is it asymptotic (do I have a threshold for guilt, or for complexity?), or perhaps exponential (are complexities such as intricate novels perhaps the result of long-standing or deep-seeded guilt?)?
